Lifelong Learners
Horizon offers adults opportunities to grow in knowledge, wisdom, and spirit. Classes range from one-session workshops to semester-long courses. Information can also be found in the weekly newsletter and on bulletin boards around the church.

Most groups sign-ups run through August 31st or September 7 depending on their start date.
Many classes and groups begin September and some begin in January (watch for sign-ups in December). Information about the weekly Sunday Morning Forum topics can be found by scrolling down. Learn more about the Horizon Book group and other fellowship groups HERE. Our 2 session Starting Point Small Group for newcomers happens about once every 3 months.

Felony Murder: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver - We will discuss felony murder, a crime in which, if someone dies during the commission of a serious crime — such as robbery or arson — participants can be charged with murder even if they did not intend to kill anyone. This unfair law treats the decision to commit the dangerous felony as sufficient to hold all participants responsible for the resulting death. Presenter: Menaca Padakandla

When Wanting Never Stops: Schopenhauer and the Billionaire Problem - We will explore what happens when endless desire meets immense wealth through the philosophy of Arthur Schopenhauer, particularly his concept of the will as the driving force behind human wanting.
