Building and Grounds

Scheduled as needed

The Building and Grounds volunteers help us keep the building running for all Horizon activities. They change lightbulbs, fix door handles, fix leaks, change filters, and much, much more. Horizon Church is able to run smoothly due to their work.

If you would like to volunteer, please email buildingandgrounds@horizonuu.org.

Band

Rehearsals as needed

Horizon Band invites everyone from beginner guitarists to seasoned shredders, drummers, woodwind, string, and brass players. We aim to have a band play during the offertory once or twice a month, with rehearsals as needed.

If you are interested to join us, please email musicdirector@horizonuu.org.

Choir

In person
Sunday & Wednesday

Choir practices meet on Wednesday at 7:30 - 9:00 pm and three Sundays per month before worship at 9:45 - 10:15 am in the Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary. No prior experience necessary. All interested singers and musicians are invited to join!

Please email music@horizonuu.org for more information and to sign up.

Coffee Crew

Sundays before and after service

The Coffee Crew makes hot coffee available for everyone to enjoy as they visit in Fellowship Hall after services. Horizon serves Equal Exchange fair trade coffee, in line with our mission of social and environmental justice. There are two volunteer shifts each Sunday cover prep and clean-up.

To join this elite caffeine team, please email coffee@horizonuu.org.

Greeters and Ushers

Sundays from 10-11:30am

Greeters and Ushers are part of our welcoming ministry.   They assist everyone entering Horizon for worship one Sunday a month prior to or during the Service.

For more information, please email greeters@horizonuu.org.

Horizon Players

NEXT PRODUCTION: AUG 23 & 24

Since its debut 1994 with selections from “Godspell,” Horizon’s theatre group has created worship services and presented evening performances of theatrical productions. Performances are usually held twice a year and range from comedies to musical selections, and from dramatic readings to dramatic plays. Anyone interested in the theatre – on stage or behind the curtains – is more than welcome. There is a role for everyone: performers, musicians, production artists, house staff, and more. Many families have participated together.
