Pastoral Care Team
The Pastoral Care Team works closely with Horizon’s Minister Rev. Chris Rothbauer to provide caring support and a healing presence to the congregation. Members of the team develop trusting and confidential relationships with individuals needing and requesting care. The relationship can involve support in many ways during a difficult time, whether at the hospital, at home or through telephone conversations. Horizon Connections
The Horizon Connections is a group of volunteers, trained in the art of listening, who gather monthly to make phone calls to church members. This ministry helps us stay aware of what’s happening in the lives of the congregation and the life of the church.
Neighbors
Horizon members live in four counties across the DFW Metroplex. Our membership is divided into eight geographic areas, and members’ name tags are color coded by their area. Neighborhoods Groups welcome new members; provide local support to church members when they have a family crisis or emergency – such as coordinate meal delivery, ride sharing, etc.; and gather for occasional social and community activities.
