We welcome people of all beliefs, ethnic backgrounds, physical abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities; diversity brings strength. Members are united by principles and covenant rather than creed.
Fill out a Blue Card
List your name and contact information on a blue card at the Welcome Desk in the lobby. We’ll create a name tag for your next visit and send you our weekly e-newsletter.
Attend Inquirers Series
The Inquirers Series is a five-session overview of UUism and Horizon activities and includes Q&As with the minister and director of education. It is offered after service, multiple times a year.
Check out the bulletin boards and website to learn about our education classes, small groups, justice activities and social events. Find what interests you and join in.
Meet with the Minister
Schedule a meeting with Rev. Lora, our minister. This provides an opportunity to talk one-on-one about your interests at Horizon and ask any questions you might have about the church and UU.
Sign the Book
Once you have decided to become a member, you’ll be invited to sign the membership book. Signing and making a pledge of financial support officially gives you the status of a voting member of Horizon.
New Member Ceremony
Multiple times a year, we official introduce those who have recently signed the book to the congregation. This celebration is during a Sunday service and followed by a reception.
We hope to see you often! Attend service regularly. Explore what’s happening at Horizon. Join groups. Go to events. Volunteer. Learn and grow. Make more connections!
