Choir & Music

Our worship services feature soloists, small ensembles, and our choir. The choir rehearses on Wednesdays (during the school year) fro 7:30pm-9:00pm and three Sunday mornings per month from 9:45am-10:15am. All are welcome!

Choir members do not have to be members of Horizon. There are no auditions, but it is expected choir members will be able to sing on pitch and regularly attend rehearsals on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings before the service.

Our Music Director, Kelemen Szabó, is a Choral Music Education graduate of University of North Texas, where he also studied vocal jazz, jazz piano, and jazz guitar. He currently directs and teaches middle school choirs in Frisco ISD. He is also a music director/private voice instructor at North Texas Performing Arts and member of the Vocal Majority. Kelemen is grateful to his countless inspirations and mentors including Dr. Jessica Nápoles, Dr. Kristina Caswell-MacMullen, Dr. Tyler Thomas, Jennifer Barnes, Greg Clancy, and Jared Schwartz.
