The Artist:

A Japanese-born master of fingerstyle guitar, Hiroya’s masterful music and evocative storytelling transcends cultural barriers. His music, honed at the prestigious Berkley College of Music, has been widely renowned for blending jazz, folk, and world music into ambient, impressionistic soundscapes.

"Tsukamoto’s concerts are not just musical events; they are immersive experiences that weave lyrical narratives with intricate melodies. Recognized for his soulful performances that create an orchestra at his fingertips, he invites audiences into his world of musical exploration and emotional expression. This is a rare opportunity to witness a performer who has been celebrated for his ability to take listeners on an “impressionistic journey” (Boston Herald). Enchanting music that promises to resonate long after the final note is played." - Barking Legs Theater

After traveling to the States on a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, Hiroya formed his own group in Boston “INTEROCEANICO (inter-oceanic)” which consists of unique musicians from different continents including Latin Grammy Colombian singer Marta Gomez. The group released three acclaimed records (“The Other Side of the World”, “Confluencia” and “Where the River Shines”). Hiroya has also released 5 solo albums and is a two time 2nd place winner of the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship, in 2018 and 2022.
