All young families are welcome to participate in Horizon's child clothing and toy swap. Please reach out to Lauren and the organizer if you have questions. (DLRE@horizonuu.org) Here are a few guidelines:
All families can participate whether or not they’ve brought items to swap.
Only bring clean, gently-used items with no stains, holes, or broken/missing parts.
Items cannot be dropped off early - please bring to Fellowship Hall that morning. If you will be absent and wish to offer items, please ask a church friend to combine their items with yours; they will be responsible for displaying and removing your items at the end of the event.
Lay out items on tables for easier browsing; do not leave items in bags on the floor that other parents have to sort through.
Childcare will be provided and children are welcome in the swap area if adults need to determine if items will fit them. The restrooms can be used as changing rooms.
Please keep all items (clothing and toys) you bring together in the same area/table in case others have questions.
Have furniture to swap? Please bring a photo of furniture you would like to give away with measurements and your contact information so you can arrange pick up from your residence with the interested party.
You will be responsible for taking back any unclaimed items you brought to the swap. Horizon cannot be responsible for donating your unclaimed items. You will be given a list of places to donate your leftovers.
Note: The Horizon play area in the Fellowship Hall will be empty that morning and off-limits to prevent the accidental removal of Horizon’s toys.
